Privacy Policy

The short version

CA Paycheck Calculator does not collect, transmit, or store your salary, name, email, or any input you type into our calculators. All math runs in your browser. We use standard web analytics to count page views and we display advertising to cover hosting costs. We never sell data and we never have anything to sell.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Like any web server, ours records page requests, timestamps, and IP addresses for security and debugging. Logs are retained for 30 days.
  • Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics that record page views, referrers, browser, and country, but do not record personally identifying information and do not use cross-site tracking cookies.
  • Advertising (if shown). If we display advertising on this site (e.g., Google AdSense), the ad provider may set its own cookies under its own policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google\'s Ad Settings.

What we do NOT collect

  • Your salary, hourly rate, or any number you enter into a calculator.
  • Your name, email address, or contact information.
  • Account information — there are no accounts on this site.

How calculators work

The calculators on this site run entirely as JavaScript in your browser. The numbers you type never leave your device. We have no API endpoint that receives them and no database that stores them.

Cookies

We do not set first-party tracking cookies. The site uses one local-storage entry to remember your dark/light theme choice (if applicable). Third-party advertising cookies may be set by ad providers — those are governed by the ad provider\'s policy, not ours.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion. Since we do not collect personal information beyond standard server logs and aggregated analytics, our compliance is straightforward — there is nothing personally identifying to delete. If you have questions, contact us via the address listed on the about page.

Changes

If our practices change, we update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
